Project Overview
Project Name
Rural Solar Hub
Client Background
A non-profit organization working in rural development partnered with us to provide reliable and eco-friendly power to underserved villages in Kutch. The goal was to create a community hub for sustainable growth, improving education, healthcare, and livelihoods.
Objective
Design and install an off-grid 100 kW solar system to power critical community infrastructure including homes, schools, and health centers, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and enabling long-term self-sufficiency.
Scope
Deploy 100 kW solar panels with battery storage for uninterrupted supply.
Power essential services like schools, clinics, water pumps, and street lighting.
Train local residents in solar operations and maintenance for community ownership.
Design Approach and Execution
Concept and Vision
Design Philosophy: Empower rural communities with reliable, renewable off-grid energy.
Key Features: Microgrid with battery backup, local training, and modular scalability.
Inspirations: Community-driven solar villages and sustainable rural electrification models.
Execution
Phase 1 – Needs Assessment
Identified energy requirements of households, schools, and healthcare centers.
Phase 2 – System Design
Engineered a 100 kW microgrid with advanced batteries and energy distribution.
Phase 3 – Installation
Deployed panels and storage in a centralized hub for equitable distribution.
Phase 4 – Community Training
Conducted workshops for local technicians to manage and maintain the system.
Rural Solar Hub has changed our way of life. From powering homes and schools to providing light in health centers, this project brought energy security and hope to our community. Our children can now study at night, and our village is no longer dependent on diesel generators.
