Solar Design Engineer
System Design & Optimization: Design efficient rooftop and ground-mounted solar power systems tailored to project requirements. Utilize advanced tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and other simulation software to create accurate layouts, electrical designs, and shading analyses.
Job Scope
Prepare solar PV system designs (rooftop, ground-mounted, hybrid & off-grid).
Perform load calculations, shading analysis, and capacity estimations.
Develop detailed electrical layouts, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), and BOQs.
Optimize solar system performance using PVsyst & Helioscope.
Collaborate with project managers and site engineers for execution.
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
2–5 years in rooftop/commercial solar design preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and MS Office.
Strong knowledge of solar PV modules, inverters, and BOS components.
Understanding of DISCOM/CEA regulations for grid-connected systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
